Why does Tom Hanks do so many beach movies?

Man I wish this was real...You start off living in the ocean with an orange flipper and fish friends, then you get washed up on a beach looking like a wild ocean pixie--and somehow sprout legs....Then you run around naked until you find the man of your dreams. My kinda night.

Ok here we go. Project No. 1: Woodenpearls

I've been working on putting together a mini-collection for the summer. (Think cotton things. Think see-thru things. Think cropped things. And sailing knots. LOTS of sailing knots.) It all started during an epic drive to the ocean a about a month ago. I fell in love with the colors and textures and thought they were a perfect thing to work with during these sunny months. It's a pretty simple (and I'll be honest--overused) concept, but think my take will give you more of a "the-mermaid-from-Splash-meets-Tom-Hanks-in-Castaway" feel, Like magical driftwood or something.
